Superplasticizing additive for reinforced concrete HEMIX ZK

Additive description

HEMIX ZK is a superplasticizer, strength gain gas pedal and water reducer. In terms of consumer properties it meets the requirements of GOST 24211-2008 "Additives for concrete and mortars. General technical conditions".

Field of application

HEMIX ZK is a complex additive designed for manufacturing of reinforced concrete products and structures with high performance characteristics under conditions of factory production.

The additive is also suitable for production and manufacturing of:
monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete products and structures made of concrete on porous aggregates with accelerated strength gain;
high-strength concrete classes B35-B50.

Advantages

Application of HEMIX ZK allows:

• to prepare mixtures with specified characteristics at a lower value of water-cement ratio;
• to obtain resistance to delamination of concrete mixtures and mortars;
• to accelerate the strength gain in the early period of time at TWO and in natural conditions;
• to increase the mobility of concrete mixtures from P1 to P5;
• to improve the quality of the concrete surface;
• to reduce energy consumption at TWO;
• to increase the turnover of molds.

Air entrainment of concrete with the additive is 2-4%.

The admixture does not cause corrosion of reinforcement, as there are no chloride ions in its composition.

Mechanism of action

The molecular structure of the polycarboxylate esters in HEMIX ZK is important for the early strength of the mix. The additive promotes rapid dispersion of cement particles due to electrostatic and steric repulsion forces.

Cement hydration is accelerated and the contact surface of cement particles with water is increased. As a result, heat is released and, as a consequence, the strength build-up is accelerated during the initial hardening period. At the same time, the rheological properties of the mixture are improved, viscosity and water-cement ratio are reduced.

Dosage

HEMIX ZK should be added in the amount of 1.2-2.4% of cement weight. The exact dosage depends on the concrete requirements and is calculated in the laboratory.

Application

Mix the admixture before use.
Introduce HEMIX ZK into the concrete mix together with the first or the last third of the water required for mixing.
Allow sufficient mixing time after the admixture has been added.

Important: HEMIX ZK must not be added to dry mix.
