Additive description

The additive is a plasticizer, water reducer, stabilizer, stability and mobility regulator. In terms of consumer properties HEMIX PL meets the requirements of GOST 24 211-2008 "Additives for concrete and mortars. General technical conditions".

Field of application

HEMIX PL is used for production of commercial concrete with high storability of classes B7,5-B30 inclusive. The admixture can also be used for production of heavy concrete mixtures on aggregates of reduced quality for monolithic construction and mortar mixtures.

Advantages

HEMIX PL, at rather low consumption, improves the workability of concrete mixtures and mortars. The use of the additive allows:

• increase mobility from P1 to P3 at a constant water-cement ratio;
• ensure the set of early demolding strength in natural conditions;
• increase the final strength characteristics of concrete by 15%;
• obtain high resistance to delamination;
• increase the homogeneity of the mixture.

Mechanism of action

When HEMIX PL is added, a stable microgel is formed on the surface of cement particles, which helps to create a “load-bearing skeleton” and prevents the concrete mixture from delamination. The formed “bearing skeleton” does not prevent sand and crushed stone from moving freely, so the workability of the concrete mixture is not changed.

Dosage

The admixture should be added in the amount of 0.6-1.8% of the cement weight. The exact dosage depends on the concrete requirements and is calculated in laboratory conditions.

Application

Mix the admixture before use.

• Introduce HEMIX PL into the concrete mix together with the first portion of water required for mixing or the last third.
• Fractional injection in a ratio of 70:30 is acceptable (70 when mixing the concrete mix, 30 on site).
• Ensure sufficient mixing time after the addition of the admixture.

Important: HEMIX PL must not be added to dry mix.
