Mechanism of actionHEMIX HS molecules adsorb and promote rapid dispersion of cement particles due to electrostatic and steric repulsion forces. The additive accelerates the hydration of the cement.
At the same time, the contact surface of cement particles with water increases. This results in early heat release, accelerated formation of hydration products and, as a consequence, rapid strength development during the initial curing period. This advantage can be utilized by lowering the temperature and time of HWO.
There are no chloride ions in the composition, so the additive does not cause corrosion of reinforcement.
DosageHEMIX HS should be added in quantities of 0.65-1.45% of the cement weight. The exact dosage depends on the concrete requirements and is calculated under laboratory conditions.
Application- Mix the admixture before use.
- Introduce HEMIX HS into the concrete mix together with the first or the last third of the water required for mixing.
- Allow sufficient mixing time after adding the admixture.
Important: HEMIX HS must not be added to dry mix.
