Mechanism of actionHEMIX GPK accelerates the hydration of cement. The additive molecules are adsorbed and promote rapid dispersion of cement particles due to the forces of electrostatic and steric repulsion.
At the same time, the contact surface of cement particles with water increases. The result is an early release of heat, accelerated formation of hydration products and, as a consequence, a rapid increase in strength during the initial curing period. This advantage can be utilized by lowering the temperature and time of the HWO.
The use of the admixture allows to concrete any structures with dense reinforcement or complex geometric shapes without the use of vibrators. The mixture self-compacts during the placement process and squeezes out the air involved.
In addition, there are no chloride ions in the composition, so the additive does not cause corrosion of reinforcement.
DosageHEMIX GPK should be added in the amount of 0.55-1.15% of the cement weight. The exact dosage depends on the concrete requirements and is calculated in the laboratory.
Application- Mix the admixture before use.
- Introduce HEMIX GPK into the concrete mix together with the first or the last third of the water required for mixing.
- Allow sufficient mixing time after the addition of the admixture.
Important: HEMIX GPK must not be added to dry mix.
