HEMIX GPK additive for reinforced concrete products

Additive Description

HEMIX GPK is a superplasticizer, stabilizer, strength gain gas pedal and water reducer. In terms of consumer properties HEMIX GPK meets the requirements of GOST 24 211-2008 "Additives for concrete and mortars. General technical conditions".

Field of application

HEMIX GPK is a universal additive designed for the manufacture of reinforced concrete products and structures with high performance characteristics in the conditions of factory production.

Advantages

Application of HEMIX GPK, at rather low flow rates, allows:

• to obtain mixtures with specified parameters at a lower value of water-cement ratio;
• to accelerate the strength gain in early terms;
• to improve the quality of the concrete face surface;
• to increase the resistance to delamination;
• to reduce energy consumption at the HWO;
• to increase the turnover of molds.

Air entrainment of concrete with the admixture is 2.1-4.2%.

Mechanism of action

HEMIX GPK accelerates the hydration of cement. The additive molecules are adsorbed and promote rapid dispersion of cement particles due to the forces of electrostatic and steric repulsion.

At the same time, the contact surface of cement particles with water increases. The result is an early release of heat, accelerated formation of hydration products and, as a consequence, a rapid increase in strength during the initial curing period. This advantage can be utilized by lowering the temperature and time of the HWO.

The use of the admixture allows to concrete any structures with dense reinforcement or complex geometric shapes without the use of vibrators. The mixture self-compacts during the placement process and squeezes out the air involved.

In addition, there are no chloride ions in the composition, so the additive does not cause corrosion of reinforcement.

Dosage

HEMIX GPK should be added in the amount of 0.55-1.15% of the cement weight. The exact dosage depends on the concrete requirements and is calculated in the laboratory.

Application

• Mix the admixture before use.
• Introduce HEMIX GPK into the concrete mix together with the first or the last third of the water required for mixing.
• Allow sufficient mixing time after the addition of the admixture.

Important: HEMIX GPK must not be added to dry mix.
