Superplasticizing additive HEMIX ART

Additive description

HEMIX ART is a superplasticizer, stabilizer, water reducer, has an air-involving effect and in terms of consumer properties meets the requirements of GOST 24 211-2008 "Additives for concrete and mortars. General technical conditions".

Field of application

HEMIX ART is intended for production of cellular concrete with density 300-1000 kg/m3.

Advantages

Application of HEMIX ART allows:

• obtain a homogeneous mixture;
• improve the pore structure in cellular concrete;
• reduce mixture shrinkage;
• increase mortar mobility from Pk1 to Pk3 at a constant water-cement ratio;
• eliminate false setting for mixtures based on separate cement grades;
• reduce energy costs during TEE.

Mechanism

The principle of action of HEMIX ART is based on the adsorption of molecules on cement particles and the emergence of an electrostatic repulsion effect, which prevents particles from forming conglomerates. There is also a spatial effect in the mechanism of action. The sum of the two effects leads to a high water-reducing effect.

By regulating the degree of adsorption, part of the additive remains in the free volume and continues to be adsorbed onto the neoplasms. This ensures a longer plasticizing effect.

Thanks to the additive components, the formation of additional pores is initiated, which as a result improves the structure of cellular concrete.

Dosage

HEMIX ART should be added in an amount of 0.6-1.8% of the cement weight.

The exact dosage depends on the concrete requirements and is calculated under laboratory conditions.

Application

Mix the admixture before use.

• Introduce HEMIX ART into the concrete mix together with the first or last third of the water required for mixing.
• Allow sufficient mixing time after adding the admixture.
• Important: HEMIX ART must not be added to dry mix.
