HEMIX SM*R

Additive description

HEMIX SM*R is a plasticizer, stabilizer, water reducer, setting retarder, has an air-involving effect and in terms of consumer properties meets the requirements of GOST 24 211-2008 "Additives for mortars. General technical conditions".

Field of application

HEMIX SM*R is intended for production of building mortars of M100-M300 grades, as well as plaster and masonry mixtures.

Advantages

Application of HEMIX SM*R allows:

• obtain homogeneous mixture;
• increase mortar mobility from Pk1 to Pk3 at constant water-cement ratio;
• reduce mixture shrinkage;
• improve stabilizing and water-holding properties;
• increase mortar “life” time up to 5 hours;
• get rid of water separation and increase resistance to delamination.

Mechanism of action

HEMIX SM*R molecules adsorb on cement particles and slow down the hydration process. Both the normal hydration of cement and the hydration heat generation are slowed down.

Thanks to the air and water-holding components in the additive, the output is a homogeneous mortar with reduced shrinkage and increased resistance to delamination.

The additive is particularly effective when producing mortars in large volumes, ensuring high performance.

Dosage

HEMIX SM*R should be added in the amount of 0.6-1.2% of the cement weight. The exact dosage depends on the requirements of the mortar.

Application

• Mix the admixture before use.
• Introduce HEMIX SM*R into the mortar together with the first or the last third of the water required for mixing.
• Allow sufficient mixing time after the introduction of the additive.

Important: HEMIX SM*R must not be added to dry mix.
