Vegetable Oil-Based Release Agent for Molds and Formwork

Scope of application

HEMIX CLEARFORM is compatible with all types of concrete forms (wooden, metal, plastic, plywood, rubberized) - including lines equipped with magnetic boards, metal forms for horizontal and vertical molding.

The grease can be used in monolithic house-building and manufacturing of elements of concrete structures at reinforced concrete factories. It is suitable for application in the modes of heat treatment and autoclave processing.

If the grease is used in heat treatment with isothermal heating, it is recommended not to exceed the temperature of 90 °C.

Advantages

HEMIX CLEARFORM allows:

• obtain a smooth and uniform concrete surface;
• significantly reduce the number of surface defects - caverns, cracks, sinkholes, etc.;
• reduce the number of pores and sinkholes on the surface of products;
• prevent adhesion of concrete mixture to the mold or formwork;
• facilitate separation of concrete from the mold or formwork material;
• protect metal molds from corrosion;
• reduce the time of dismantling the formwork;
• extend the “life” of molds and formwork.

Mechanism of action

The vegetable oil-based grease is solvent-free and suitable for use with all types of concrete. It is non-toxic and non-irritating. It is specially formulated to ensure easy separation of concrete from casting forms and formwork.

With prolonged use of HEMIX CLEARFORM, the effect of self-cleaning of the molds from old concrete residues is observed. In the future, this will reduce labor costs associated with mechanical cleaning of molds and formwork. In addition, the additive creates a protective layer that prevents the formation of corrosion on metal forms and extends their service life.

Due to the technological composition, the lubricant does not leave oily stains on the surface of the products, and does not color the surface of concrete, so it is suitable for mixtures based on white cement.

Consumption per unit of surface

The amount of grease required depends on the method of application. In case of spraying it is 0.008-0.042 l/m2.

Application

• Before using HEMIX CLEARFORM, clean the surface of the molds or formwork from previously used lubricants.
• Apply the lubricant to the surface of the molds or formwork by hand using a brush or roller, or by spraying.
• Make sure that the entire surface to be treated is covered with grease.

Important!

In order to obtain a quality surface of the products, do not allow excessive grease on the molds and formwork.

In the case of spray application, the following points must be observed:

• to obtain a uniform and homogeneous film thickness, the grease should be sprayed at a distance of 50-100 cm from the mold;
• to avoid the formation of drops, it is important to maintain the pressure in the atomizer at the level of 2-4 bar and to monitor the tightness of the connection between the atomizer and the nozzle;
• to achieve quality results with a portable atomizer, it is necessary to use a slotted nozzle and apply the material at an angle of 65-80°.
